The All Progressives Congress APC has announced the reopening of its electronic membership registration exercise across Nigeria as part of efforts to strengthen its membership base and prepare for the 2027 general elections.
The exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday August 31 2026 and will be conducted across all wards nationwide according to a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka.
The APC called on existing members supporters and intending members to take part in the exercise. Existing members are expected to validate their membership records while new members are encouraged to register and formally join the party.
The party said applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number NIN.
According to the APC the electronic registration exercise is aimed at digitising its membership register and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of membership records. It is also expected to improve access to membership data for effective planning and management decisions.
The party further said the initiative would promote internal democracy and strengthen its commitment to democratic innovation by making its membership management system more efficient and accessible.
The reopening of the registration exercise comes as political parties across the country intensify mobilisation and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC urged all stakeholders supporters and members both old and new to take advantage of the exercise and participate in strengthening the party ahead of the elections.
