Lagos LSNSC Opens Recruitment Portal for Neighbourhood Safety Officers Across 57 Councils

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps has officially opened its online recruitment portal for the enlistment of Neighbourhood Safety Officers across all local government areas and council development areas of the state.

The development was announced through the official website of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, where details of the recruitment process, requirements and application guidelines were published.

According to the agency, the recruitment is for Neighbourhood Safety Officer Group B positions and is open to qualified applicants from all parts of the state on a full time basis.

A notice on the website described the exercise as part of the agency’s community policing initiative aimed at strengthening safety and security at the grassroots level.

The agency stated that applicants must possess a minimum of SSCE or WAEC qualification, fall within the age bracket of 18 to 30 years, be physically fit and have a clean criminal record.

Explaining the application process, the agency directed interested candidates to complete the online application form and upload all required documents accurately.

It noted that shortlisted applicants would proceed to the assessment stage, which includes screening tests and interviews. Successful candidates will thereafter be onboarded and formally inducted into the agency.

Applicants have been advised to apply strictly through the official recruitment portal and ensure that all information provided is correct and complete.

The recruitment exercise follows the approval granted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu for the engagement of additional officers into the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps.

Earlier, in a statement issued on January 9 through the agency’s official Facebook page, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Ifalade Oyekan, said the recruitment would boost the agency’s operational strength and enhance response time to security challenges at the community level.

Oyekan added that the exercise aligns with the state government’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents, especially within neighbourhoods and around public schools.

The agency has therefore encouraged eligible youths and residents across the state to take advantage of the employment opportunity.
