Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, has been honoured with an award by Lions Club International District 404 B3, Nigeria, in recognition of his outstanding service to humanity and his support for community development initiatives.
The honour was presented during a courtesy visit by members of the Abeokuta Diamond Lions Club, led by the District Governor, Lion Adelaja Adeleye PJMF NLCF. The District Governor was represented by the First Vice President, Lion Barrister Tosin Taiwo.
Also part of the delegation was the President of the Abeokuta Diamond Lions Club, Lion Erubami Margaret Oluwatoyin JP NLCF, who was represented by the Charter President, Lion Abeni Eweje, alongside other leaders of the Lions Club.
Speaking during the visit, the Lions Club representatives commended Whingan for his commitment to humanitarian causes and his continued support for the activities of Lions Club International, particularly through the Abeokuta Diamond Lions Club.
They noted that his contributions to community development and empowerment initiatives have positively impacted many lives within Badagry Federal Constituency and beyond.
The award was presented to the lawmaker on Saturday, March 8, 2026, at Fams Embassy and Suites in Ibereko, Olorunda Local Council Development Area of Badagry, Lagos State.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the Lions Club delegation to appreciate the lawmaker for his dedication to public service and his contributions to initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of communities.
