2027: Jide Akran Unveils ‘SSR’ Agenda, Declares Readiness for Lagos West Senate Race

A frontline aspirant for the Lagos West Senatorial seat, Jide Akran, has unveiled what he describes as a people-focused policy direction anchored on Service, Structure and Result (SSR) as he intensifies consultations ahead of the contest.

In a series of campaign graphic banners released across social media platforms, Akran presented the SSR Agenda, outlining his vision for a more secure, prosperous and liveable Lagos West.

The aspirant, in a message posted on his Facebook page, declared that the time had come for effective and practical representation in the Senate.

“Jide ti de. Lagos West, the time has come for representation that actually works,” he wrote.

Akran said his policy framework was carefully developed after engaging residents across the senatorial district and listening to their concerns about development, security and economic opportunities.

“I am excited to share my full agenda for the Senate, built on Service, Structure and Result,” he stated.

According to him, the agenda focuses on key priorities including youth employment, skills development, flood control, urban resilience, stronger community security and attracting meaningful federal projects to the district.

He explained that the proposals were shaped by grassroots consultations across the senatorial district, spanning Agege, Alimosho, Mushin, Oshodi-Isolo, Ikeja, Badagry, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, Ifako-Ijaiye and Ajeromi-Ifelodun as well as the various Local Council Development Areas.

Akran noted that many of the ideas captured in the agenda came from conversations with residents during visits to communities across the district.

“From youth employment and skills development, to solving flooding and urban resilience, strengthening community security and attracting real federal projects, this agenda was born from walking our streets and listening to your real concerns,” he said.

He added that his vision is to build a Lagos West where every community enjoys equitable development and improved quality of life.

“The vision is simple: a secure, prosperous and liveable Lagos West for everyone, not just a few,” he said.

Akran also described his political push as a grassroots movement rather than a conventional campaign, urging residents to participate actively in shaping the district’s future.

“This is more than a campaign. This is the BSA Movement, a people-powered journey. Join the movement. Share this agenda. Volunteer your time or ideas. Hold me accountable. Together, let’s build the Lagos West we deserve,” he added.

Political observers say the unveiling of the SSR agenda signals the beginning of what may become an active contest for the influential Lagos West Senatorial seat, one of the largest and most politically strategic districts in the country.
