Leaders and coordinators of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ikeja Division 2 have commended Dr Samuel Mawuyon Ajose SMA, a 2027 Lagos State governorship aspirant from Badagry, for his sustained engagement with grassroots stakeholders, describing his approach as a major boost to political mobilisation ahead of the next general elections.
The praise was delivered during a strategic stakeholders meeting held on Friday, 6 February 2026, at the Women Development Centre in Agege, where Ajose unveiled plans aimed at deepening community networks, strengthening party unity and aligning local structures to support the re election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside his ambition to lead Lagos State.
Addressing party faithful and community leaders, Ajose stressed the importance of civic participation, urging residents to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards PVCs. He described the PVC as the most powerful instrument for safeguarding democracy and sustaining the economic and political gains recorded under the current administration.
He further noted that true political strength begins from the grassroots, adding that active community involvement remains critical to consolidating progress and ensuring electoral success in 2027.
Speaking on his governorship aspiration, Ajose highlighted the long standing marginalisation of Badagry Division in top level political leadership in Lagos State, arguing that the time had come for greater inclusion and representation. He reaffirmed his commitment to the progressive ideals championed by President Tinubu, pledging to build on the administration’s vision for development and inclusive governance.
Participants at the meeting expressed strong confidence in Ajose’s leadership and political movement, pledging their full support for both the Tinubu administration and the APC’s mobilisation drive across communities in Ikeja Division and beyond.
They agreed that sustained grassroots engagement, unity within the party and early preparation were key to securing victory in the next election cycle, positioning the APC for continued dominance in Lagos State and nationally.
