Badagry West Chairman, RIKAY Moves to Restore Schools as Renovation Kicks Off at Methodist Primary School, Sawa

The Badagry West LCDA has begun renovating a six-classroom block at Methodist Primary School in Sawa, while also pushing ahead with the construction of the school’s perimeter fence.

According to council officials, the fencing is a necessary step to improve the safety of pupils and teachers and to protect the school’s property from vandalism and encroachment. They explained that the project became important following repeated attempts by individuals to take over parts of the school land.

The renovation and fencing are part of a broader effort by Chairman Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, known as RIKAY, to upgrade learning environments across the council area. Officials said the administration is committed to ensuring that schools are secure, comfortable, and well equipped for teaching and learning.

They added that more education-focused projects will continue to roll out as part of the council’s long-term plan to improve public schools in Badagry West.
