The ancient town of Badagry is beaming with pride as two of its illustrious sons, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Isaac Sewanu Hundeyin, now stand at the forefront of police information management in Nigeria.
From the bustling corridors of the Force Headquarters in Abuja to the nerve centers of the Ports Authority Command in Lagos, the Hundeyin brothers are carrying the torch of excellence, proving that Badagry continues to produce men and women of distinction.
Benjamin Hundeyin: Nigeria’s Face of Policing
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, a graduate of English Language from Lagos State University (LASU), was this month appointed as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
Before stepping into this national role, Benjamin had already carved a name for himself as the eloquent and approachable Police Spokesman of Lagos State Command, where he consistently engaged the media and the public on security matters. His appointment as the chief information manager of the entire Nigeria Police Force is widely seen as recognition of his professionalism, communication skills, and dedication to duty.
Isaac Hundeyin: The Ports Authority Command Voice
On the other hand, his younger brother, ASP Isaac Sewanu Hundeyin, has also made remarkable strides. Appointed in April 2024 by the same IGP Egbetokun, Isaac currently serves as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ports Authority Western Command in Lagos.
Isaac, a trained psychologist and fellow alumnus of LASU, brings a unique blend of human relations expertise and media tact to his role. His work ensures that critical information from one of Nigeria’s most strategic policing units is communicated effectively and transparently to the public.
Both brothers hail from the renowned Hundeyin family of Badagry, a lineage that has consistently produced scholars, professionals, and public servants. Their rise within the Police Force has not only brought honor to their family but has also rekindled conversations about Badagry’s enduring contributions to Nigeria’s leadership and governance landscape.
For residents of Badagry, the achievement of the Hundeyin brothers is more than a personal triumph; it is a community celebration. It underscores the town’s reputation as a cradle of excellence and a home of proud ambassadors whose impact is felt far beyond the sandy shores of the coastal city.
As CSP Benjamin and ASP Isaac shoulder the task of managing information for the Nigeria Police Force, they represent not just the badge they wear but also the resilient spirit of Badagry—a spirit rooted in history, nurtured by education, and driven by service.
Badagry Today joins the entire community in celebrating these distinguished sons. Their journey serves as inspiration for the younger generation, proving that with discipline, education, and commitment, the world is never too big for the dreams of Badagry’s children.
