Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Badagry Constituency I, Hon. Solomon Saanu Bonu, has been honoured as the Most Outstanding State House of Assembly Lawmaker of the Year 2026 by the Nigeria Young Minds Impact Awards.
The prestigious award was announced and presented on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in recognition of Bonu’s legislative service, dedication and leadership.
The lawmaker was represented at the ceremony by his senior aide, Mr. Mego Monday, who received the award on his behalf.
Sharing his experience on Facebook, Mego described the recognition as a proud moment, noting that Bonu’s dedication, tireless service and impact as a legislator had been acknowledged on a prestigious platform.
He congratulated the lawmaker for the achievement and expressed pride in being part of his team.
Bonu, while announcing the award in a Facebook post, said the recognition was a testament to his commitment, dedication and passion for legislative service and the development of Lagos State.
The Badagry lawmaker dedicated the honour to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as well as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, and his deputy.
He also dedicated the award to the people of Badagry Constituency I, whom he credited with giving him the mandate and continuing to support his representation at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Bonu expressed appreciation to the people and political leaders for their trust, support and encouragement, saying the recognition would inspire him to do more in the service of the people.
The award adds to the growing recognition of Bonu’s legislative activities and political representation of Badagry Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
