2027: Tinubu Certain to Dominate Ondo Polls — Mandate Elders Forum

The Ondo State Mandate Elders Forum has declared that President Bola Tinubu is set for a landslide victory in the 2027 elections, especially in Ondo State.

Speaking with journalists in Akure after a forum meeting, facilitator Chief Ademola Ijabiyi said Ondo, with nearly two million registered voters, would deliver massive votes for Tinubu.

“Ondo is Tinubu’s stronghold. We won’t be talking about percentages; we’ll be talking about real numbers,” he said, adding that elders remain influential in their communities and will mobilize support for the president.

Ijabiyi praised Tinubu for his appointments and ongoing projects in the state, stressing that Ondo is “as good as won” for the president in 2027. He also encouraged APC elders to embrace constructive criticism and focus on mentoring and guiding party members.

On his part, the forum’s leader, Chief Erastus Akeju, called for unity among party elders, warning that grassroots clashes could affect the outcome. He urged leaders across all 18 local government areas to rally behind Tinubu and ensure an even bigger victory than before.

Akeju described Tinubu as a Yoruba leader whose efforts to drive progress and unity deserve total support. Other speakers also appealed to aggrieved party members to put aside their differences for the good of the APC.

The meeting drew several political heavyweights from across the state, including former Chief Judge Justice Sehinde Kumuyi, ex-SSG Princess Oladunni Odu, former Education Commissioner Pastor Femi Agagu, ex-lawmaker Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, Chief Korede Duyile, former PDP state chairman Hon. Ebenezer Alabi, Chief Bailey Arohunmolase, Chief Femi Bakare, and Senator Yele Omogunwa.
