The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Ajose Peter Kumayon, has taken steps to improve access to oral healthcare with the procurement of modern dental equipment for the Ilado Primary Healthcare Centre.
The development signals plans to establish a functional dental unit at the facility, a move expected to address the long-standing difficulty many residents face in accessing dental care within the community.
According to details shared by the chairman’s media aides on social media, the newly acquired equipment will support a wide range of dental procedures once the unit becomes operational. Items procured include a fully equipped dental chair unit, dental air compressor, autoclave machine, tooth extraction instruments, ultrasonic scaler, dental X-ray machine, dentist’s stool and dental model.
The initiative is part of the administration’s broader effort to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and improve the quality of services at the grassroots level. It aligns with the chairman’s RESHAPE agenda aimed at enhancing healthcare access for residents.
Work is ongoing to put the necessary structures in place, with authorities indicating that the dental unit will commence operations after installation and final setup of the equipment is completed.
