President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Lagos State as the Renewed Hope Ambassador's Deputy Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation, in a move seen as part of early strategic preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The appointment was conveyed in an official letter personally signed by the President in his capacity as Leader of the All Progressives Congress. The letter stated that the appointment takes immediate effect and outlines a broad mandate aimed at strengthening party structures and deepening nationwide engagement.

According to the letter, Faleke is expected to work closely with the Director General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador programme and the party hierarchy, particularly the National Chairman of the APC, to ensure harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all levels of mobilisation and engagement.

The President charged him with galvanising support for the party by promoting and disseminating its programmes, policies, milestones and achievements. The goal, the letter noted, is to strengthen public confidence and reinforce the Renewed Hope message across the country.

The appointment also underscores the administration’s focus on early groundwork ahead of the 2027 elections. Tinubu stressed that preparation would be critical to securing broad national acceptance for the party and its candidates at all levels, adding that Faleke’s leadership would be central to guiding the process effectively and strategically.

Confirming the development, Faleke took to his Facebook page to express appreciation for the trust reposed in him.

“I am pleased to announce my appointment by the President as the Deputy Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation of the Renewed Hope Ambassador. I represent the South West,” he wrote.

Political observers say the appointment signals an intensification of grassroots mobilisation efforts as the ruling party consolidates its structures nationwide under the Renewed Hope agenda.
