As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 presidential election, a pro-Tinubu support group, the Re-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement, popularly known as RE-BAT, has announced the appointment of key coordinators to lead its operations across Badagry Division.
The movement, established to galvanise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, named Mr Whejiepon Anthony Ola, Chief Executive Officer of Badagry Online Radio, as the Principal Coordinator for Badagry Division.
In addition to Ola’s appointment, the group unveiled other coordinators to oversee mobilisation efforts across the councils in the division. Those appointed include Comrade Brose Timothy for Badagry West LCDA as LGA Coordinator, Asogba Bamidele Tasheyon for Badagry Local Government, Oba Akinyemi Jonathan for Olorunda LCDA, and Sewanu Michael for Badagry West LCDA, CWC.
The announcement, contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Directorate of the RE-BAT Movement, said the appointments form part of a broader strategy to strengthen grassroots structures across Badagry Division, which comprises Badagry Local Government, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, Ajeromi-Ifelodun and their respective Local Council Development Areas.
According to the statement, the newly selected executives and coordinators were chosen based on loyalty, capacity, grassroots influence and unwavering commitment to the objectives of the movement.
The group said the coordinators have been mandated to drive ward-to-ward mobilisation, deepen political awareness and coordinate strategic community engagement across the division.
It explained that the core purpose of the RE-BAT Movement in Badagry Division is to mobilise, organise and unite residents to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, while presenting the division as a united and formidable political bloc.
“Our mission is to build a strong grassroots structure that mobilises voters, promotes political unity and secures decisive electoral victory through strategic engagement and disciplined coordination,” the statement read.
The movement added that its vision is to position Badagry Division as a model of political unity, strategic organisation and electoral strength in support of progressive leadership.
It further disclosed that details of the official inauguration ceremony for the newly appointed executives and coordinators will be communicated in due course.
