The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, on February 19, 2026, organised a Computer Based Test for prospective JAMB candidates as part of efforts to expand access to higher education for young people in the state.
Ogunlende, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the RAK Development Foundation, said the exercise was designed to identify deserving candidates who would benefit from free JAMB forms and full registration sponsorship.
According to a statement released from his office, the screening process was rigorous and closely monitored to guarantee transparency, fairness and credibility. The CBT was structured to test the academic preparedness of participants while ensuring that only qualified and committed students emerged as beneficiaries.
The initiative, which has been sustained for more than seven years, has become an annual intervention aimed at supporting indigent but brilliant students. It underscores Ogunlende’s continued commitment to youth development and educational advancement across Lagos State.
Beyond the sponsorship of JAMB registration, the foundation also extends further support to exceptional students who secure admission into their preferred universities. Such beneficiaries receive tuition assistance and other essential educational support to ease the financial burden on their families.
Stakeholders have described the programme as a life changing opportunity for many young people, noting that it has helped bridge the gap between ambition and access to tertiary education for hundreds of students over the years.
