The Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area, Babatunde Hunpe, is set to chair the 48th Annual Inter-House Athletics Competition of Federal Government College, Ijanikin in Lagos State.
The disclosure was made on Monday by the Chairman of the Publicity Committee for the event, Olufowobi Olamide, who confirmed that preparations have been concluded for what promises to be a colourful and competitive outing.
According to her, the much-anticipated competition is sponsored by Rolling Grazing Limited and will take place on Saturday, February 28, at the school premises. Activities are scheduled to commence at 10 am.
She noted that the annual sporting event will not only feature students of the host school but will also welcome other participating schools from across Lagos State, adding more excitement and healthy rivalry to the competition.
The Principal of the college, Dr Kehinde Tokunbo Famuyibo, who will serve as host, assured invited guests and parents of impressive athletic displays from students and visiting schools.
The Inter-House Athletics Competition remains one of the most anticipated events in the school’s calendar, drawing parents, alumni and stakeholders together in celebration of sportsmanship, talent and unity.
