The Badagry Local Government is set to witness another major empowerment drive on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, as the third batch of beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope ₦100,000 Asiwaju Cash Support initiative receives financial assistance at the Badagry Local Council Chamber.
The programme, inspired by the Renewed Hope agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will see an additional 200 vulnerable residents empowered with direct cash support to boost household stability and small-scale economic activities within the community.
The intervention is being implemented by the administration led by Babatunde Hunpe as part of a structured social support scheme designed to reach 4,000 beneficiaries over a 20-month implementation cycle.
According to officials, the initiative goes beyond temporary relief, aiming to provide sustainable financial backing for low-income earners, petty traders, artisans, and struggling households, while encouraging inclusive economic participation across Badagry.
Community leaders have lauded the programme for its transparency and steady rollout, noting that previous batches had already brought noticeable relief to families grappling with rising living costs.
Residents are expected to turn out in large numbers as the council continues its drive to cushion economic hardship and strengthen grassroots welfare, reinforcing Badagry’s place in the broader Renewed Hope social intervention framework.
