The All Progressives Congress has announced the composition of sub committees for its 2026 National Convention, signaling the start of full scale preparations for what the party describes as a transparent and credible exercise.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party disclosed that the newly approved committees will oversee key aspects of the convention, including operations, administration, elections, logistics, security and programme coordination.
According to the statement, the committees have been carefully constituted to manage the complex planning and execution processes required to deliver a seamless national convention. The party leadership charged members of the various committees to approach their assignments with diligence, discipline and strict adherence to the APC Constitution and established guidelines.
The APC stressed that the sub committees are central to ensuring that all arrangements for the convention meet the highest standards of transparency and internal accountability. It noted that the convention remains a critical platform for strengthening party structures and reaffirming its progressive ideals.
Reassuring party members, stakeholders and the general public, the APC pledged its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent national convention that will further consolidate internal democracy within the party.
