Owa Ajaka of Age Mowo Kingdom Commiserates With Badagry, Ogu People Over Passing of Akran of Badagry

The Owa Ajaka of Age Mowo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Aholu Jonah Solomon Egbenayon, the Jakavi I, has joined the people of Badagry Division and the entire Ogu race in mourning the passing of the Akran of Badagry Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi I.

The Agemowo monarch, in a condolence message issued through the Palace Media Team, described the late Akran as a rare father figure whose reign was marked by peace, unity and unwavering commitment to the growth of traditional institutions in Badagry.

According to the Owa Ajaka, Badagry has lost more than a traditional ruler, noting that the death of the inú FGAkran represents the loss of a moral compass and a stabilising force within the traditional council of the division.

He said the late De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi I devoted his life to promoting harmony among traditional rulers, building bridges across kingdoms and strengthening cultural identity among the Ogu people.

The Jakavi I further described the late monarch as a royal father who led by personal example, living a life defined by humility, wisdom and compassion. He noted that the influence of the Akran went beyond the palace, touching lives through sound counsel, selfless leadership and deep commitment to the peace and development of Badagry Kingdom.

He added that the legacies of the late monarch would continue to serve as a guide for traditional rulers and future generations within the Ogu nation.

The Owa Ajaka of Age Mowo Kingdom prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed Akran and asked God to grant strength and comfort to the Badagry Kingdom, the royal family and the entire Ogu race as they mourn the irreplaceable loss.

The passing of De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi I marks the end of a significant era in the traditional history of Badagry, as tributes continue to pour in from far and near in honour of a king widely regarded as a symbol of unity, dignity and service.
