Our favorite music power couple, Simi and Adekunle Gold, have given us something huge to celebrate. The news is everywhere now that the talented duo just welcomed a set of twins, making their beautiful family a little bigger and a lot more exciting.
Adekunle Gold, or AG Baby as we fondly call him, shared the news himself on his Snapchat. He sounded so grateful, telling fans that he actually asked God for one more child, but ended up getting a double blessing instead. To make it even clearer, he posted a picture of two tiny baby outfits with "Double Trouble" written on them. You can just imagine the joy in their home right now.
Looking back, we probably should have seen
this coming. Just last December, the couple hinted that they were expecting another baby, and the internet went wild with prayers and congratulations. Then, on Christmas Eve, Simi appeared in the music video for her husband’s song, My Love Is The Same, looking absolutely radiant with her baby bump. It was such a sweet video, showing intimate family moments with Adekunle and their first daughter, Deja.
Since they tied the knot in that private ceremony back in 2019, Simi and Adekunle have shown us what a beautiful, supportive marriage looks like. From welcoming Deja in 2020 to now becoming parents of three, their journey has been nothing short of a movie.
Huge congratulations to the AG family from all of us at Badagry Today. We honestly can't wait to see the first photos of the twins.
