The Committee of Friends, Badagry, rounded off the year in grand style with a well-attended End-of-Year Party that brought together members, friends and invited guests in an atmosphere of joy, celebration and unity.
The event, which doubled as a New Year get-together, showcased the strong bond among members of the club and their shared commitment to social interaction and community togetherness. Guests were warmly received as members arrived early, setting the tone for a lively and memorable celebration.
Proceedings began with the arrival of members and guests, followed by an opening prayer. This was succeeded by the formal recognition of members, highlighting the inclusive spirit of the association. The Chairman of the club then delivered an address, appreciating members for their support throughout the year and encouraging continued unity and cooperation in the coming year.
A major highlight of the programme was the Social Committee’s welcome address, which also featured a birthday celebration segment. This was followed by the presentation of gifts to the January celebrant, drawing cheers and applause from attendees.
Music, dance and light refreshments dominated the latter part of the programme, as members and guests freely participated in various dance sessions, creating a relaxed and festive mood. Further recognition of members took place, reinforcing the club’s tradition of appreciation and fellowship. The Chairman later delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The celebration ended, fittingly, on a high note with more music and dancing, leaving participants with lasting memories of a successful end-of-year gathering.
The leadership of the Committee of Friends, Badagry, includes Prince A.W. Hundeyin as Chairman, Prince Sunday Obafemi as Vice Chairman, Ach. Tunde Olateju as Secretary, and Rot. Femi Osibelowo as Treasurer. The End-of-Year Party Committee was chaired by Hon. Prince Adewale Fagbamila Marshall, JP.
