The family of the late Akinsanya Sunny Ajose has announced plans to hold a special prayer service to mark the one year remembrance of the revered All Progressives Congress chieftain and former Head of Service of Lagos State.
The remembrance prayers are scheduled to take place on January 15, 2026 at the late statesman’s residence, Sunny Ajose House, located on Sunny Ajose Street, Ajara Agamathen, Badagry.
The announcement was made via a Facebook post by Prince Sunda Oke, who described the late Ajose as an exceptional leader, mentor and father figure whose legacy continues to inspire many within and beyond the APC fold.
In his post, Prince Oke wrote that the family would be commemorating the one year anniversary of the passing of their esteemed leader on January 15, 2026, with a prayer service at his Badagry home.
Late Sunny Ajose was widely respected for his contributions to public service and party politics, particularly his role in strengthening the APC in Lagos State. His death one year ago was received with deep sorrow across Badagry and the wider Lagos political community, where he was regarded as a bridge builder and a stabilising force.
The family has invited friends, associates, political leaders and well wishers to join them in prayers as they remember his life, service and enduring impact on society.
