The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Badagry Local Government Area has reaffirmed its unity and commitment to rebuilding the party ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the renewed togetherness as a product of God’s divine intervention. Party leaders and members converged to strengthen internal cohesion and reposition the PDP as a formidable political force in the area.
Speaking at the gathering, the Chairman of the party in Badagry LGA, Chief Kazeem Kappo, called on all party faithful to remain loyal and committed to the ideals of the PDP. He emphasized that collective effort, discipline, and unwavering support from members are critical to achieving electoral success in 2027.
Chief Kappo also led the party in offering heartfelt condolences to the good people of Badagry on the demise of the Akran of Badagry, De Wheno Aholu Menu-Toyi. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and for the continued peaceful coexistence, unity, and progress of the people of Badagry during this period of mourning.
In his remarks, the Secretary of the party in the local government, Chief Olufemi Doheto Hunga, charged members of the party’s Central Committee to work assiduously toward revamping the Badagry PDP. He noted that strategic planning, grassroots mobilization, and unity of purpose would transform the party into a winning movement.
Several notable leaders of the party were present at the meeting, underscoring the significance of the gathering. Among them were Chief Olaomo Kufisile, Alhaji Alani Ajose, Chief S. S. Hunwi, Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Osanyinbi, and Elder Benjamin Akovoyon, alongside other dedicated stakeholders.
Contributing to the discussion, the Vice Chairman of the party, Hon. Abiodun Sewanu Gbowu, expressed appreciation to party executives and leaders for remaining steadfast despite the party’s current challenges. He assured attendees that with unity and determination, the Peoples Democratic Party would reclaim and take over all elective offices in Badagry Local Government Area in the 2027 elections.
Finally, the authentic LGA Chairman of the party, Chief Kazeem Kappo, reiterated his commitment to the party and urged the notable leaders of the party namely Hon. Gbemenu Koshoedo, Elder Philip Aivoji (State Chairman of the Party), and Prince Yomi Ogungbe to continue their immeasurable support for the party in Badagry Local Government Area.
