A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Ogunlende, has commended the impressive turnout recorded in Badagry during the ongoing APC e registration and membership revalidation exercise, describing it as a strong signal of unity and commitment among party faithful.
Ogunlende made this known on Tuesday after participating in the exercise in his hometown of Asheri, Badagry West. He expressed satisfaction with the level of participation, noting that residents from different backgrounds turned out in large numbers to take part in the process.
According to him, the steady flow of participants cutting across age, gender, and religious affiliations reflects the growing strength of the APC and the shared resolve of its members toward nation building. He said the exercise has further demonstrated the bond that exists within the party and the willingness of the people to be actively involved in shaping the country’s political future.
While addressing party members and intending registrants, Ogunlende issued an important advisory on the National Identification Number process, stressing that proper NIN verification is crucial for a smooth registration experience. He urged individuals to ensure that their NIN details, particularly their phone numbers, are correctly updated before visiting APC e registration centres.
He explained that once NIN details are properly updated, members can revalidate or register seamlessly at the nearest centre, instead of spending hours in queues only to be redirected to NIN offices due to unresolved issues.
Sharing his personal experience, Ogunlende disclosed that he encountered a temporary setback during the exercise after discovering that his phone number was not linked to his NIN. He, however, confirmed that the issue has since been resolved, with all necessary information uploaded. His registration, he said, is currently on pending status and expected to be approved within a few hours, after which he will return to complete the process.
He appreciated residents who have continued to show commitment by turning out for the exercise and encouraged more people in Badagry, Lagos State, and across the country to participate.
Ogunlende emphasized that active involvement in the registration and revalidation exercise is key to strengthening the party and ensuring that citizens have a voice in determining the direction of the nation.
He concluded by calling on Nigerians to come out in large numbers to revalidate and register for APC membership, stressing that collective participation remains vital to building, shaping, and deciding the nation of their dreams.
