In an emotional Facebook post that has since drawn attention across the constituency, Quadri revealed that the lawmaker played a decisive role in her appointment as a Librarian with the Lagos State Government, describing the gesture as life changing for her and her family.
According to Quadri, although she possessed the required qualifications, Hon. Whingan’s influence and referral were instrumental in ensuring the opportunity became a reality. She described the intervention as one she could never take for granted, noting that it reaffirmed her belief in purposeful and people centred leadership.
She said her gratitude went beyond words, stressing that her family equally shared in the joy and relief that came with the employment. Quadri pledged her full and unwavering commitment to service, assuring the lawmaker that she would work diligently to make him proud and to justify the confidence reposed in her.
Beyond the personal benefit, Quadri acknowledged that Hon. Whingan’s impact on Badagry had been evident long before this personal encounter, noting that many residents, including herself, had indirectly benefited from the lawmaker’s interventions and constituency focused projects over time.
She described witnessing Whingan’s work up close as an honour, adding that the representative’s vision for Badagry was far bigger than what many could presently grasp. While admitting that her own contribution might appear modest, Quadri reaffirmed her continued support and loyalty to the lawmaker’s leadership and development drive.
Quadri also offered prayers for Hon. Whingan, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and protection against forces opposed to his good works. She expressed confidence in the lawmaker’s political journey, declaring that Whingan’s service to Badagry would not be limited to a single term in the House of Representatives.
She further expressed hope that Whingan would rise into the leadership of the House, stating that such a position would allow Badagry to enjoy greater dividends of democracy and stronger representation at the national level.
“My name is Enitan, and I am from Posukoh,” she concluded, reiterating her gratitude and belief in the lawmaker’s leadership.
The public message has been widely interpreted as a testament to Hon. Whingan’s growing reputation for grassroots engagement, empowerment, and hands on support for constituents, particularly in creating pathways to employment and opportunity for young people in Badagry.
