Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will tomorrow, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, commission 420 newly completed housing units in Ajara, Badagry.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, the project, known as the Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, will boost the state’s stock of modern housing and provide decent accommodation for over 2,000 residents.
Speaking during a media chat in his office on Tuesday, Akinderu-Fatai explained that the estate comprises one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments designed to meet diverse housing needs.
He noted that the initiative aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to complete all ongoing housing projects and provide affordable, quality homes for Lagosians.
The Commissioner described the completion of the project as a major milestone that will not only improve living standards but also stimulate economic growth within the Badagry community.
He thanked prospective homeowners for their patience and confidence in the administration and cautioned interested buyers against dealing with fraudsters, stressing that the Ministry of Housing does not work with agents or middlemen.
Akinderu-Fatai advised all intending subscribers to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing at Block 3, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for genuine enquiries and applications.
