Badagry’s CImmigration Officer’s Wife Kidnapped

Mrs. Ladi Abel, a 45-year-old wife of a senior officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Seme Command, has been kidnapped along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, according to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The spokesperson for the command, Mr. Isaac Elijah, confirmed the incident on Tuesday in Badagry.

He explained that Mrs. Abel left her home in the Sawmill area of Badagry around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, heading to the Trade Fair Complex in Lagos to purchase goods, when she was abducted on the way.

Elijah said the kidnappers later contacted her husband, Chief Superintendent of Immigration (CSI) Abel Mada, demanding a ransom of ₦7 million for her release.

“One of the kidnappers used her phone to call her husband. They first asked for ₦7 million but called again around 6 a.m. today, saying they would accept ₦3 million if they wanted her alive,” he told NAN.

He added that the matter has been reported to the Badagry Police Station and the Area K Police Command.

Elijah urged anyone with useful information about the incident to reach the family through 08080883848.
