A heartbreaking tragedy occurred in Abuja on Wednesday when a man, his wife, and their two children were killed in a ghastly accident at Mabushi Bridge.
Eyewitnesses said the family was driving in a private car and had briefly stopped at the Berger Roundabout in Wuse to pick up a relative. While there, an altercation reportedly broke out with some individuals at the scene, and one person allegedly tried to interfere with the vehicle.
In the chaos that followed, the driver lost control, and the car slammed into a bridge pillar at Mabushi. The impact was so severe that all four family members died on the spot.
There are unconfirmed reports that some people linked to the incident were attacked by an angry mob shortly after. However, the Police have yet to release an official statement about the crash or the reported mob action.
