The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, is on course to be announced as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), succeeding DCP Muyiwa Adejobi.
Hundeyin, who has been the face of the Lagos Command since March 2022, will now step into the national spotlight at Force Headquarters in Abuja, where he is expected to assume the role officially.
Adejobi, on the other hand, has been redeployed to the Delta State Police Command following his recent promotion from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
He first took up the Force PRO position in an acting capacity back in February 2022 after CP Frank Mba’s exit and was later confirmed in the role by former Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba (Rtd).
The Nigeria Police Force has clarified that Adejobi’s redeployment is simply part of routine administrative restructuring and has no punitive or controversial undertones.
