FBI Releases Images, Offers $100,000 Reward in Charlie Kirk Shooting Case

The hunt for the gunman who shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah has intensified, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released images of a “person of interest” and announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Kirk, a close ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was shot earlier this week during an event at a Utah university. Authorities say the suspect—believed to be of college age—fled into a nearby neighborhood moments after the attack.

Investigators have since recovered a high-powered rifle from woods close to the scene, along with a footwear impression and a forearm imprint, which they say may provide vital forensic leads. Surveillance footage has also surfaced, showing the suspected gunman sprinting across a rooftop before disappearing from view.

“The shooter is still at large, but we are pulling every resource to track this individual down,” officials said.

Two people who were earlier detained for questioning have since been released, leaving the investigation wide open.

At the crime scene, the atmosphere remains haunting. Personal belongings of attendees—shoes, bags, and papers—are still scattered across the lawn, a stark reminder of the chaos that erupted when gunfire rang out.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has pledged to honor Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously, describing him as “a fearless fighter who gave everything for America.”

As of now, the FBI is urging anyone with credible information to come forward, warning that the suspect is armed, dangerous, and possibly still in the area.
