Kweme Monarch, Àhọ́lú Sejiro James, Celebrates Ajande Pascal for Outstanding Feats in Canada

The Aholu of Kweme Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Sejiro Olalekan Ogunbe James (Aholu Henwa of Kweme), has celebrated the remarkable achievement of Ajande Pascal Viweavo, a proud son of Kweme Kingdom, for distinguishing himself in Canada.

Oba Sejiro, while speaking on the development, described Pascal’s exploits in Toronto as a source of pride for both Kweme Kingdom and Lagos State at large. He noted that Pascal has not only represented his community with dignity but has also proven that the youths of Badagry are capable of competing and excelling on the global stage.

“It is our honor and pride in Kweme that Pascal has emerged among the top performers in Canada. I have been following his good works in Badagry long before his recommendation to represent Lagos abroad, and I am confident that he will continue to do well,” the monarch said.

The Aholu further commended the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, for his consistent support for youths in Badagry West and across Lagos State. According to him, the Commissioner’s efforts in mentoring and empowering young people, including Ajande Pascal, continue to open new doors of opportunity for the younger generation.

“This is a great lesson for all our youths — to keep doing good, to remain focused, because the world is watching. If Pascal could be spotted for excellence and taken to Canada, then others can equally be recognized if they remain steadfast in their pursuits,” the monarch added.

In his response, Ajande Pascal expressed deep gratitude to both the monarch and Hon. Ogunlende for their encouragement and unflinching support. He described the Commissioner as a mentor whose constant words of motivation continue to inspire him and many other young people to dream bigger.

Kweme Youth Leader, Usman Raji, also spoke at the event, noting that Hon. Ogunlende’s impact on the community has been far-reaching. He revealed that the Commissioner has personally sponsored over 50 youths in acquiring JAMB and GCE forms without making public show of his generosity.

The high chiefs of Kweme equally joined in appreciating the Commissioner and congratulating Pascal, describing his achievement as a collective victory for the kingdom.

With this recognition, Kweme Kingdom has once again demonstrated its strong cultural heritage and unwavering commitment to nurturing young talents who will continue to put the ancient town on the global map.
