The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting security agencies in the fight against crime, declaring that criminal elements will find no safe haven in Olorunda or anywhere in Badagry.

Ajose made the declaration on Monday during a visit to the Ilado community, where operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) recently uncovered an alleged fake university operating from a three-bedroom apartment and rescued 106 young people believed to have fallen victim to the scheme.

The chairman visited the scene following a request by the Badagry Area Commander of the NSCDC, Chief Superintendent Olugbenga Ekunola, for logistical support to move the rescued victims to a safer location where they could be profiled and reunited with their families.

Speaking during the visit, Ajose pledged the council's continued collaboration with security agencies through the provision of necessary support to strengthen intelligence gathering and law enforcement operations.

He maintained that his administration has zero tolerance for all forms of criminality and vowed to back every genuine effort aimed at flushing out criminals and making Badagry safer for residents.

Ajose also commended the NSCDC Badagry Area Command for its swift operation, describing the bust as a major breakthrough against organised criminal activities and a demonstration of the importance of effective collaboration between local government and security agencies.
