The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, has warmly welcomed the pioneer pupils of Iworo Smart School as the institution officially commenced its academic session, marking a significant milestone in the council’s drive to provide quality, technology-driven education.

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Cornelius Akinyele, the council leadership received the nursery and primary pupils with encouragement and goodwill, assuring parents and teachers of ongoing support in creating a conducive learning environment for children across Olorunda LCDA.

In a special demonstration of respect for culture and tradition, teachers and officials from the Badagry Local Government Education Authority led the pupils on a courtesy visit to the palace of the Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Friday Oladele Kosoko Ogundeyi. The delegation was graciously received by the High Chiefs of the kingdom on behalf of the revered monarch.

Speaking to the pupils, High Chief Kosoko Abel encouraged them to uphold discipline, good character, and academic excellence. He described the students as privileged to be the first set at the Smart School and urged them to become worthy ambassadors and pace-setters for the institution.

After the palace visit, Hon. Akinyele led Olorunda LCDA officials and education stakeholders back to the school for a thorough inspection of classrooms, spanning the kindergarten, nursery, and primary sections. The inspection ensured that all facilities are ready and that the learning environment is safe, supportive, and conducive for effective teaching and learning.

Commenting on the school’s opening, Hon. Akinyele described the commencement of the academic session as another landmark achievement for the Ajose Kumayon administration. He highlighted the council’s commitment to nurturing future leaders through modern, innovative, and values-based education.

He also emphasized that the Iworo Smart School initiative aligns with the broader vision of positioning Olorunda LCDA, Badagry Federation, Lagos State, and Nigeria for sustainable development through investment in human capital.

Members of the entourage included Mrs. W. R. Hundeyin, Mr. Olaniyi Idowu, Zossu J. J., Hunsu Semako, Alagbe Samson, Ezekiel O. O., Pathintode B. F., Egunjobi S. J., and Jonah D. P., among others.
