2027: Layode, 19 Others Inaugurated as Renewed Hope LG Coordinators Across Lagos State

Preparations for the 2027 political season gathered momentum in Lagos on Wednesday as the Renewed Hope Movement inaugurated 20 Local Government Coordinators, with Badagry Federation emerging strongly in the renewed grassroots mobilisation drive.

The well attended ceremony in Ikeja was conducted by the South West Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and witnessed by Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu, alongside the Chief of Staff, adding weight to the growing political structure being built across the state.

Top among those inaugurated was the Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, who assumed office as the Badagry Federation Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. He led a vibrant delegation from Badagry, including the eleven Ward Ambassadors, signalling the area’s readiness to play a frontline role in driving the Renewed Hope agenda.

Hon Layode was joined by key community and political figures such as Alhaji Adeyemi Akeem, Vice Chairman of Badagry, Mr Akin Ogunlana, Chairman of SHA, Mr Fagbamila Oluwamare and several grassroots leaders. The Ward Ambassadors present were Hon Akin Ajayi, Mr Sule Avoseh, Pot Balogun Sessi (SELAN), Hon Atindekun, Hon Nutayi Joel, Mr Morufu Matanmi, Chief Ganiu Muyibi, Mr Denoh Aina Sejoro, Mr Ewetan Moses, Mr Ahmed Kazeem and Mr Moses Job.

During the event, speakers highlighted key achievements of President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, urging the coordinators and ward ambassadors to take the message of governance gains directly to the people and deepen engagement at the community level.

In his address, Hon Layode congratulated the Badagry team and assured them of his full backing to build a strong, united and result driven structure across the federation. He expressed optimism that Badagry would deliver solidly for the Renewed Hope Movement and President Tinubu in 2027.

After the inauguration, the Badagry delegation paid a courtesy visit to Lagos House, where they were received by the Chief of Staff on behalf of the Governor. The team took group photographs and received assurances of the state government’s continued support for Badagry and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

The inauguration is seen as a major boost to grassroots political coordination in Lagos State, further strengthening the Renewed Hope Movement ahead of the next general elections.
