Renewed Hope 2027 gained fresh momentum in Badagry on Monday as the Deputy Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Honourable Member representing Badagry Constituency II Hon Engr Setonji David openly backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and championed the All Progressives Congress APC digital membership drive through the party’s ongoing E Registration exercise in Lagos State
Hon Setonji David revalidated his APC membership at the Local Authority Primary School Ajara Luda Badagry reaffirming his loyalty to the ruling party and his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections The exercise forms part of the APC’s efforts to strengthen its membership database deepen internal democracy and enhance grassroots political participation across the state
The lawmaker undertook the exercise alongside the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government Hon Babatunde Hunpe former Member of the House of Representatives and the Apex Leader of the APC in Badagry Local Government Area Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi a development party stakeholders described as a clear demonstration of unity cohesion and collective resolve within the party at the grassroots level
Speaking after the revalidation Hon Setonji David described the E Registration initiative as a strategic and forward looking programme that aligns seamlessly with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda He noted that a credible digital membership system would promote transparency inclusiveness and a truly people driven political structure within the APC
He called on party members supporters and well meaning residents of Badagry to fully embrace the E Registration exercise stressing that mass participation would not only expand the party’s base but also strengthen the APC’s position ahead of future electoral contests
In a follow up message the Deputy Chief Whip again urged eligible citizens to take advantage of the E Registration exercise which officially commenced on January 5 2026 He explained that the process provides successful participants with an APC membership card that formally confirms their affiliation with the ruling party
According to him the exercise is open to Nigerians who are at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number NIN adding that the digital registration process has been designed to be seamless accessible and inclusive
He further disclosed that the exercise is still ongoing at designated centres across Badagry and Lagos State assuring that a special broadcast would be made available to the general public to provide additional information on registration locations and procedures
The APC E Registration exercise is part of the party’s broader strategy to expand its membership base consolidate its structures and mobilise support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vice President Kashim Shettima First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu and the APC leadership at both the state and national levels
