The Badagry Federation is set to record another moment of pride as the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria South West announces a triple honour for the ancient town’s leadership.
On December 6 at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, the ATPN will confer its revered Honorary Fellowship on the chairmen of the three councils that make up the Badagry Federation. Those to be decorated include Hon Babatunde Hunpe of Badagry Local Government, Hon Rauf Ibrahim Yemaren of Badagry West LCDA, and Hon Ajose Kumayon of Olorunda LCDA.
Their recognition, according to the organisers, celebrates their collective efforts in promoting tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and driving community development within the historic coastal region.
Also listed for honour is Hon Bonu Solomon Saanu, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Badagry Constituency 1 and chairman of the House Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture. He will likewise receive the ATPN Honorary Fellowship for his contributions to tourism growth in Lagos State.
The ceremony promises an engaging atmosphere filled with speeches, cultural performances, and networking sessions for key players in the tourism sector.
More updates are expected as preparations gather momentum, the organisers said in a statement signed by the Office of the National Vice President, ATPN South West.
