Badagry West LCDA is gearing up for a three day celebration to mark the first 100 days of Hon Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren’s administration, with a packed schedule of activities aimed at uplifting residents and showcasing the Council’s early strides in governance.

According to a statement released by Mr. Solomon Zosu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, the programme, themed Renewed Hope, Action and Accountability, will run from December 4 to 6, bringing together interventions across health, education, social welfare, infrastructure and economic empowerment.

The celebration will open on Thursday, December 4, with a free medical outreach for residents and a Back to School initiative that will provide essential learning materials to schoolchildren. According to the Council, the gesture is part of its commitment to improving access to healthcare and strengthening educational support for families in the LCDA.

Friday, December 5, will focus on the most vulnerable groups, as the Council rolls out empowerment packages for Persons with Disabilities and distributes palliatives to widows across Badagry West. The administration says the day is dedicated to ensuring that no resident is left behind in its development drive.

The grand finale comes up on Saturday, December 6, with a series of project commissioning and empowerment activities. The Council will unveil the newly completed Methodist Primary School in Sawa along with its modern perimeter fence. A ground breaking ceremony will follow for the new Primary Health Centre in Asheri, where the perimeter fence has already been completed.

Hon Yemaren and his team will also embark on site inspections of major ongoing projects including the Ganme Link Road Phase One and the Ultra Modern CBT Centre in Ganyigbo. The day will also feature the disbursement of the Trader Support Fund, presentation of support tools and equipment to farmers and artisans and distribution of food palliatives to households across the LCDA.

Residents have been invited to join in the celebration as the administration reflects on 100 days of purposeful leadership and renews its pledge to deliver accountable and people centred governance in Badagry West LCDA.
