In a show of commitment to promoting education and giving hope to children in underserved communities, the National Association of Badagry Students (NABAS) has distributed 200 notebooks to pupils in selected primary schools within Badagry Local Government.
The outreach, which took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, benefited pupils of Methodist Primary School, Itohun, and St. Leo Primary School, Ikoga.
Speaking during the presentation, the NABAS President said the gesture was a modest way of easing the burden on parents who struggle to provide basic learning materials for their children. He noted that education remains the most powerful tool to transform lives, adding that NABAS is committed to supporting young learners and promoting academic development at the grassroots.
The Headmistress of Methodist Primary School, Itohun, expressed deep appreciation to the association for what she described as a “timely and thoughtful intervention.” She explained that many pupils often attend classes without notebooks or school materials, and such gestures help to encourage them to take their studies seriously.
NABAS also extended gratitude to all individuals and partners who contributed to making the initiative a success, reaffirming its dedication to supporting education and nurturing the next generation for a brighter future.
