In a dramatic turn of events, the Lagos State House of Assembly has impeached its Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, over allegations of financial misconduct.
The decision was reached during a plenary session on Monday, multiple sources confirmed. While the specifics of the allegations remain unclear, the lawmakers unanimously voted to remove Obasa from office.
