The political landscape in Badagry witnessed renewed momentum towards the 2027 general elections as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, widely regarded as the most prominent group endorsed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held a strategic meeting with council chairmen across the federation.
According to a statement released by Mr. Pot-Balogun Sesi, the Group’s Media and Publicity Director in Badagry, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Badagry Federation, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the chairmen of the three Local Government and Local Council Development Areas in Badagry. He was accompanied by the eleven ward coordinators and members of the campaign leadership team.
The visit, described by insiders as timely and strategic, was aimed at formally introducing the Ward Coordinators to the council leadership, fostering stronger ties, and reinforcing collaboration ahead of the 2027 polls. The meeting also served as an avenue to appreciate the role of the council chairmen in sustaining grassroots political structures within their respective domains.
Speaking during the engagement, Layode stressed the need for unity and unwavering commitment at all levels. He noted that consolidating past electoral victories would require deliberate grassroots mobilization and coordinated efforts across units, zones, and wards.
He reaffirmed the group’s readiness to intensify political awareness and expand support networks throughout Badagry, assuring that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would leave no stone unturned in rallying massive backing for President Tinubu in 2027.
Sources at the meeting revealed that discussions centered on strengthening existing political frameworks, harmonizing campaign strategies, and ensuring that Badagry remains solidly aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda.
The strategic interface signals an early build up of structures and alliances as political stakeholders in Badagry begin positioning for what promises to be a defining electoral contest in 2027.
