A major support bloc within Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry has taken a bold step toward the 2027 general elections as Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu, TVT 2027, formally unveiled its Zonal Coordinators across the country.
The group, a broad based stakeholders’ movement, says it is committed to mobilising structured and sector driven support within the tourism and hospitality industry for the re election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
In a memorandum addressed to tourism and hospitality stakeholders, industry leaders, partners and supporters nationwide, the Convener of TVT 2027, Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, announced the appointment of respected figures to coordinate activities across the six geo political zones and the Federal Capital Territory.
Hon. Atuloma Onyekachi will coordinate the South East Zone, while Mr Talabi Jamiu takes charge of the South West. Dr Piriye Kiriyamo will oversee the South South, Mr Bello Muhammed Gwagwada the North East, and Malam Isiya Salihu Shinkafi the North West. Mr Jonathan Justin Akem will coordinate the North Central, while Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Sule will anchor activities in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the group, the coordinators are expected to serve as strategic anchors in their respective regions, driving consultation, stakeholder engagement, grassroots sensitisation and structured mobilisation in line with the national vision of TVT 2027.
Their mandate includes mobilising tourism and hospitality practitioners across states and local governments, strengthening unity and inclusive participation within the sector, coordinating advocacy engagements and supporting national mobilisation objectives ahead of 2027.
TVT 2027 also disclosed that it will later this weekend unveil its National Central Working Council alongside its National Patron and National Matron, describing the move as a critical phase in consolidating its leadership structure and reinforcing readiness for coordinated nationwide engagement.
Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, who signed the statement, is the National Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria South West and an indigene of Badagry. He noted that the movement remains committed to working in harmony with stakeholders and professional bodies within the tourism ecosystem to foster unity of purpose.
He added that the journey toward 2027 would be driven by strategic organisation, collective responsibility and shared commitment among industry players determined to back continuity and sustained national progress.
