A Badagry indigene and former Nigerian Air Force officer, Engr. Wheto Joseph Seyon, has described the Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, as a bridge and a strong voice for the people, following what he termed a life changing intervention that helped him complete his discharge process from the Nigerian Air Force.
Seyon, an aircraft engineer, shared his story in an Instagram post where he recounted how Hon. Whingan’s timely involvement brought relief at a moment when his transition from active service was facing serious challenges.
According to him, when the process appeared stalled and uncertain, the lawmaker stepped in with clear guidance and a genuine commitment to helping him move forward. He said the intervention went beyond routine assistance and became a turning point in his life.
“I want to express my sincere appreciation to you, sir, for your remarkable support during my discharge process from the Nigerian Air Force,” Seyon wrote. “At a time when challenges seemed determined to slow the journey, you stepped in with clarity, guidance, and a heart committed to helping others rise.”
He disclosed that Hon. Whingan personally reached out on his behalf, including engaging the Chairman of the House Committee on Air Force, a move he said opened the door to the breakthrough he desperately needed.
“Your efforts in reaching out on my behalf, especially to the Chairman, House Committee on Air Force, created the breakthrough I needed. It was more than assistance; it was advocacy, and it made all the difference,” he added.
Seyon described the Badagry lawmaker as a dependable bridge between the people and institutions of government, noting that his leadership continues to touch lives beyond the walls of the National Assembly.
“Thank you, sir, for being a voice, a bridge and an inspiration. Your leadership continues to speak loudly, not only in your constituency but in the lives of individuals like me who have been uplifted by your goodwill,” he said.
The public appreciation has further reinforced accounts of Hon. Sesi Whingan’s quiet but impactful interventions, portraying him as a lawmaker whose influence is felt not only in legislation but in real and life changing support for the people of Badagry.
