Tutor General Hosts Two Badagry Students Who Emerge 2nd and 3rd Best in Lagos Essay Writing Competition

The atmosphere at the Education District V headquarters was filled with pride and excitement as the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary, Mr Hassan Dauda Abiodun, hosted two outstanding students from Badagry who emerged 2nd and 3rd best in the Lagos State Essay Writing Competition.

The duo, Akinola Akinyemi Mathew of Methodist Junior High School Badagry, and Patrick Rhoda Sesi of Araromi Ilogbo Junior Grammar School Oko Afo, stood out among participants drawn from public secondary schools across the state, proudly flying the flag of Education District V.

Akinola clinched the second position with an impressive performance, while Patrick secured the third spot, making Badagry a focal point of celebration in this year’s edition of the competition.

While receiving them, Mr Abiodun praised the students for their brilliance, confidence, and commitment to academic excellence. He encouraged them to keep pushing their boundaries and remain consistent in their pursuit of knowledge.

He also extended warm appreciation to their teachers, Miss Agosu M Y of Methodist Junior High School and Miss Olayinka Popoola I S of Araromi Ilogbo Junior Grammar School, acknowledging their dedication and the guidance that helped shape the students’ success.

The visit ended on a warm and inspiring note, with the Permanent Secretary reaffirming the district’s commitment to nurturing young talents and celebrating achievements that spotlight the potential within Badagry schools.
