Veteran Nollywood actor Adeola Shoremi, popularly known as Baba Lanko, has opened up about the stormy marriage that led to his split from fellow entertainer Atinuke Kazeem, better known as Mama No Network.

The two tied the knot in 2014 in a glamorous ceremony graced by celebrities, with Fuji icon Pasuma Wonder performing live. But behind the glitz and glamour, Baba Lanko says the union was riddled with violence.

In a candid chat with Feelrightnews, the actor claimed that Mama No Network physically attacked him on several occasions. One of those incidents, he said, left him with permanent scars.

“This finger injury you see, which is now bent, came from repeated fights with her. At a point, she even came at me with a cutlass,” he alleged.

In a twist many would call unbelievable, Baba Lanko revealed that his current wife came into his life through Mama No Network herself. According to him, she had once brought an apprentice to learn theatre arts under him, and that apprentice eventually became his wife.

“The apprentice my ex-wife brought to me is now my wife. We’re blessed with four children, and life has been peaceful,” he said.
