The Principal Coordinator of the Movement for Change (M4C), a socio-political organization in Badagry, Chief Pot-Balogun Sesi, popularly known as Selan, has hailed the leadership style of Hon. Babatunde Athande Hunpe, Chairman of Badagry Local Government, describing it as a “new dawn for the people of Badagry.”

Chief Sesi made the remark when he led a delegation of the group on a congratulatory visit to the council secretariat in Badagry. The visit, according to a press statement signed by M4C’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. John Gbeliho, was to formally congratulate the chairman on his assumption of office and to pledge the group’s support for his administration.

Speaking during the visit, Chief Sesi congratulated Hon. Hunpe and charged him to embrace purposeful leadership that will translate into tangible development for the people. He urged the chairman to prioritize transformational projects, stressing that Badagry deserves progress in critical areas such as youth empowerment, women development, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

He further assured the chairman of M4C’s readiness to collaborate with his administration, noting that the group remains committed to unity, socio-economic growth, and peace across the Badagry Federation.

The delegation included key members of the group such as Mr. Timothy Bankole (Chairman), Chief Idowu Hunpe (Group Leader), Mrs. Jimoh Bilikisu (Women Leader), and Mr. Abosede Emmanuel, popularly known as Holyboy (Treasurer).

In his response, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe expressed gratitude for the visit and for M4C’s pledge of partnership. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centered governance. According to him, collaborations with grassroots groups like M4C would form the foundation for achieving sustainable growth and inclusive development in Badagry.

The meeting ended on a cordial note with the presentation of a goodwill portrait to the council chairman. Both parties reaffirmed their resolve to work together in advancing peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Badagry.
