FRSC Opens 2026 Nationwide Recruitment: Here's How to Apply

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.

According to the Corps' publication made yesterday in Daily Trust Newspaper, the recruitment exercise is aimed at attracting young, intelligent and vibrant Nigerians who are passionate about contributing to road safety administration and traffic management while helping the agency achieve its vision of becoming a world-class organisation.

The recruitment, which is completely free of charge, offers opportunities for graduates, diploma holders, secondary school certificate holders, drivers and skilled artisans.

Under the officer cadre, the Corps is recruiting Superintendent Route Commanders (SRC), Route Commanders and Deputy Route Commanders, as well as Assistant Route Commanders. Positions are available for medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers and other graduates with relevant qualifications from recognised institutions. Applicants for these positions must possess the required academic qualifications, NYSC discharge or exemption certificates where applicable, and be between 18 and 35 years of age.

The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to candidates with qualifications such as NCE, National Diploma, Ordinary National Diploma, Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife certificates, Community Health Extension Worker qualifications and other approved credentials. Applicants for this category must be between 18 and 30 years old.

For the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, candidates are required to possess a minimum of three credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Applicants must also be between the ages of 18 and 30.

The Corps is equally recruiting drivers, motorcycle riders and artisans, including mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, instrument technicians and tailors. Applicants under this category are expected to possess relevant trade test certificates or professional qualifications, while drivers and riders must have the appropriate class of valid driver's licence. Heavy-duty and tow truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years of age.

FRSC listed several general requirements for applicants, including being Nigerian by birth, physically and mentally fit, single, of good character and free from any criminal conviction or financial indebtedness. Applicants must also present a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital, possess current practising licences where applicable, and meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.

The Corps further stated that applicants must declare all their academic and professional qualifications during the application process, warning that undeclared certificates would not be considered for future career progression. It also noted that tattoos are not permitted and advised pregnant applicants not to participate in the recruitment exercise.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the official FRSC recruitment portal, https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng within four weeks from Friday, July 3, 2026. Applicants are also expected to print their completed application forms, which will be required during the screening exercise if shortlisted.

The Corps warned prospective applicants to beware of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment exercise is entirely free and that no payment is required at any stage of the application process.

For enquiries, the FRSC advised applicants to contact its designated helpline.
