Marafa, who recently announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke out in a Channels Television interview is on Monday, September 1, explaining his reasons for leaving the party.

According to Marafa, the way Nasir El-Rufai, himself, and former national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje were treated proves his belief that President Bola Tinubu only “uses people and then discards them.”

“Looking at the treatment of El-Rufai, the treatment of Ganduje, and the treatment of me, we are now convinced that Mr. President is a ‘use and dump leader,’” he said.

Marafa had previously served as the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Coordinator in Zamfara State during the 2023 elections. He announced his resignation over the weekend, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership.

In a bold declaration, Marafa also vowed to reduce President Tinubu’s vote count in the 2027 presidential election by one million votes.

“I’m going to assure you something today. I’m going to deduct one million out of Mr. President’s votes that he got in 2023. Mark my words. I’m going to do it. I would work for it and, by the special grace of God, I’m going to win that,” Marafa declared.
