The Grassroots Development Movement (GDM), a fast-rising socio-political body in Badagry, has commenced a major sensitisation campaign to mobilise residents for the forthcoming Nationwide Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) exercise.
In a statement signed by its Principal Coordinator, Mr. Posu Joseph, and made available to Badagry Today, the group described the exercise as “a golden opportunity” for citizens to secure their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and actively participate in shaping the nation’s future.
According to Joseph, the registration exercise is targeted at young people who have just attained voting age, those who misplaced their voter’s cards, individuals who have relocated and need to transfer their polling units, as well as citizens seeking replacement for damaged PVCs.
“Your PVC is your power, and participating in this registration ensures that your voice counts in shaping the future of our nation,” the statement emphasised.
The CVR exercise will be conducted in two phases: online registration begins on Monday, August 18, 2025, while the physical (offline) registration kicks off on Monday, August 25, 2025. For residents of Badagry and its environs, the designated physical registration centre has been located near the Army Barracks, Ibereko, Badagry.
GDM urged all eligible residents not to miss the opportunity to register, stressing that every vote matters and that active participation in the democratic process begins with securing a PVC.
