As the clock ticks toward the much-anticipated local government elections, Adeosun Abdulwahab Adebowale, Press Secretary to the outgoing Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (Samola), is taking no chances in securing a landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibereko, Ward B.
On Friday, July 11, 2025, Adeosun led a robust mobilisation effort, bringing together key political stakeholders, grassroots influencers, and residents in a two-part strategic engagement aimed at strengthening the party's chances in the Saturday, July 12 elections.
The day kicked off with a crucial stakeholders' meeting that drew participants from all corners of Ward B, including party faithful, youth leaders, and community figures. Among the top attendees was the APC Councillorship candidate for Ward B, Hon. Olugbenga Bamgbose—popularly known as Imole—whose warm reception by the crowd spoke volumes about his growing popularity in the ward.
Addressing the gathering, Adeosun rallied supporters around the need to remain united and focused. He emphasized Ibereko’s importance in the larger APC victory across Olorunda LCDA and urged residents to go all out on election day.
“We must prove that Ibereko is not just loyal, but strategic to the APC’s success. Let’s give the party a reason to pay attention to our development needs,” he said.
The meeting also featured remarks from several influential voices, including Hon. Nurudeen Mojeed (current Councillor), Apostle (Comrade) Isiah Akinosi, Hon. Joshua Oke (SSA on Environment and Coordinator of BK Collective), Mr. Lukmon Ogunyemi (LGA Youth Leader), Mr. Rafiu Aralamo (APC Ward Chairman), Reverend David Adetola (Justice Forum Ward Chairman), Hon. Dada Adeshina (former SA on Revenue), and Mrs. Elizabeth Olorundami.
These leaders not only re-echoed the importance of voter participation but also educated attendees on proper voting procedures—such as the use of the index finger for thumb-printing—to ensure every APC vote counts.
In his own remarks, Hon. Bamgbose reassured the community of purposeful representation if elected.
“I’m committed to working with others to attract meaningful projects and create opportunities that will transform our ward,” he told the cheering crowd.
Following the meeting, the team moved to the bustling Ayelaju Modern Market in Ibereko for the second leg of the engagement. Traders welcomed them warmly as Adeosun and other APC leaders took time to introduce the party’s full slate of candidates: Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon (Chairmanship), Hon. Solomon Bolaji Adele (Vice Chairmanship), and Hon. Olugbenga Bamgbose (Councillorship).
The highlight of the market visit came when the Iya Oja of Ibereko, Mrs. Adenike Olaitan, publicly endorsed the APC candidates.
“We are APC people. You can count on us,” she declared, sealing the moment with cheers from fellow traders.
The twin engagements left the community energised, better informed, and fully ready to deliver the votes. For Adeosun Abdulwahab Adebowale, the day was more than politics—it was a demonstration of loyalty, coordination, and a deep commitment to Ibereko’s continued growth under APC leadership.
