Elizabeth Ajibola, widely known by her stage name Maami Igbagbo, a Nigerian adult film actress who once claimed to have slept with over 1,000 men, appears to have turned a new chapter in her life — one rooted in faith.
The news of her spiritual transformation surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), after a user, @honest30bgfan, posted:
"Remember Maami Igbagbo? A very popular porn star. She has now given her life to Christ. Wow, can you marry a girl with her type of past?"
Photos accompanying the post show Igbagbo dressed in a white garment, holding a Bible — a stark contrast to the bold, provocative persona she once proudly displayed online and in interviews.
Known for her candid confessions, Igbagbo once appeared on a talk show declaring:
"I am a porn star, an international porn star, and I want a man who will support me in this version of myself. I’ve got natural talent — I need someone with me."
When pressed about her body count, she replied confidently, “Let me just say, one thousand people.”
However, in February 2024, she publicly announced her exit from the adult entertainment industry, stating on X:
"I am retiring from the Adult Entertainment Industry. It’s been an amazing journey."
Now in 2025, her spiritual rebranding is stirring conversations online — with reactions ranging from supportive to skeptical.
One user on X, @Michael75105633, commented: “Old things have passed away. Thank God for her life.”
Meanwhile, @colexsga wasn’t as forgiving, joking: “Marry keh? You wan make my pikin friends show him video evidence?”
On Instagram, reactions also focused on her new appearance. A user, @amgodgrace, questioned her choice of attire under the white garment, writing: “How can you not wear a bra to church?”
As Maami Igbagbo continues her spiritual journey, one thing is certain — her transformation has left Nigerians divided, prompting debates about forgiveness, redemption, and the possibility of a new beginning regardless of one’s past.
