Learning conditions received a major lift in Badagry-West LCDA, Lagos State, as the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development and founder of the Real Acts of Kindness Development Foundation, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, donated hundreds of desks and chairs to two public primary schools in the area.
The donation, which comprised 120 desks and chairs, was delivered to Methodist Primary School, Enuko Akoko, and Methodist Primary School, Kweme, with the aim of easing classroom challenges and creating a more comfortable learning environment for pupils.
The intervention forms part of Ogunlende’s sustained commitment to grassroots development and the improvement of public education across Lagos State. By addressing the shortage of basic classroom furniture, the initiative is expected to enhance pupils’ learning experience and support better academic outcomes.
Speaking on the gesture, Ogunlende stressed that investing in basic educational infrastructure is essential to shaping the future of children. He noted that a conducive learning environment not only improves academic performance but also builds confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging among young learners.
The outreach was carried out through the Real Acts of Kindness Development Foundation, Ogunlende’s non governmental organisation, which operates under the guiding mantra to quench thirst, inspire change, and empower generations. The foundation continues to deliver people centred interventions across key sectors, with education remaining a top priority.
School administrators, community leaders, and beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. Many noted that the gesture reflects Ogunlende’s consistent dedication to uplifting communities and strengthening public education at the grassroots.
The initiative also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education and Goal 10 on reduced inequalities, by reinforcing foundational learning infrastructure and ensuring that every child has access to a dignified and supportive classroom environment.
