The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, has formally revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress by taking part in the party’s newly launched E-Registration exercise, which commenced across Lagos State.
Hon. Hunpe carried out the exercise at his ward registration centre located at Local Authority Primary School, Iluda Ajara. He was joined by the Member representing Badagry Constituency II and Deputy Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Setonji David, alongside the Apex Leader of the APC in Badagry Local Government Area, Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi.
Speaking shortly after completing the process, the council chairman called on party members at all levels to embrace the E-Registration exercise, describing it as a necessary step toward proper documentation and the building of a credible, transparent, and accountable party structure. He praised the smooth and efficient nature of the process, noting that it reflects the APC’s commitment to internal reforms and aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Hunpe stressed that the exercise is crucial to strengthening internal democracy, deepening grassroots participation, and ensuring effective representation through a reliable membership database. He described the initiative as an important milestone in the APC’s effort to build a more inclusive, progressive, and people-centred party in Badagry and beyond.
He urged both existing and prospective members to take advantage of the opportunity to revalidate their membership or join the party, emphasizing that active participation remains key to sustaining a strong, united, and forward-looking APC.
